Beardie With a Blog (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website beardiewithablog.com. This page explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
Who runs this site
Beardie With a Blog is a family project about Falla, our bearded dragon. The blog is written by a young writer with adult supervision, and the site is owned and operated by an adult who is responsible for its content and for this policy. All photographs of Falla on this site are our own original photos.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply. We do not currently run a newsletter, contact form, or comment section, so there is no other place on this site where you are asked to submit personal information.
Information collected automatically. Like nearly all websites, our web host records standard server log data when you visit: your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the date and time. This is generated automatically by the hosting software and is used for security and troubleshooting.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies and tracking
We do not currently run our own analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
However, when you click an affiliate link on this site — for example a product link on Falla’s Favorites — the destination retailer may place cookies in your browser to record that the visit came from us. This is how affiliate programs know to credit a purchase. Those cookies are set by the retailer, not by us, and are governed by that retailer’s own privacy policy.

We only recommend products we genuinely use for Falla or would recommend to another beardie owner, and we say so on the page when a product is a general recommendation rather than something in Falla’s own enclosure.
Third-party services
Some pages link out to services we do not control, including Amazon, our merchandise shop, and Instagram. Once you follow a link away from beardiewithablog.com, this policy no longer applies and the other site’s privacy practices govern. We encourage you to read the policies of any site you visit.
Children’s privacy
This site is a general-audience blog about bearded dragon care. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your choices and rights
Because we collect so little, there is usually nothing for us to delete beyond an email you may have sent us. If you have emailed us and would like that correspondence deleted, just ask.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to its processing. Residents of California, the European Economic Area, and the United Kingdom have specific rights under laws such as the CCPA, GDPR, and UK GDPR. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below and we will respond.
Data security and retention
Our site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Server logs are retained by our web host according to their standard practices. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to respond and keep a record of the conversation.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes — for example if we add analytics, a newsletter, or a comment section. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Meaningful changes will be noted on the page itself.
